Abbi Taylor, a 46-year-old transgender woman from South Shields, has been sentenced to a suspended prison term after being caught inside a wheelie bin with her trousers down while on bail for dumping soiled adult nappies at childcare centres.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that a resident discovered Taylor inside a bin bag within a wheelie bin, frantically trying to pull up her trousers. The resident captured the incident on video and shouted at her, threatening to call police. Taylor later pleaded guilty to three breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
Prosecutor Jane Foley told the court that residents found the incidents “alarming.” On another occasion, CCTV showed Taylor entering a bin area at around 3.20pm. She also admitted to stealing clinical waste bags and smearing human waste on a nursery fire escape and milk bottles, leaving staff and parents horrified.
Recorder Richard Herrmann noted that while the offending is “highly unusual and troubling,” there was no evidence to prove sexual motivation. Taylor’s Facebook profile featured a cartoon character wearing a nappy and referenced being an “adult baby diaper lover.”
For all offences, Taylor received a two-year sentence suspended for two years, 100 hours of unpaid work, and a GPS monitoring tag to track her movements. The court heard she had previously breached a Criminal Behaviour Order imposed by Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court.
