BGT Final: Mis-Teeq Reunion Divides Viewers as Alesha Dixon Takes Centre Stage

Britain's Got Talent viewers were left divided after judge Alesha Dixon performed with her former girl group Mis-Teeq during the 2026 grand final on Saturday, 30 May. The noughties band reunited on stage for a medley of their biggest hits, with Dixon joined by fellow members Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash.

However, many fans took to social media to express frustration over the group's formation, noting that Dixon appeared to take a more prominent role than in the past. One viewer posted on X: 'Alesha Dixon is in her Nicole Scherzinger era. Sabrina is the lead girl, sit your a** in the back.' Another commented: 'Alesha shouting over it all and acting like she's Beyonce. Sabrina snubbed out of her own lead vocals.'

Criticism continued with remarks such as: 'That Mis-Teeq performance was giving Alesha and her backing singers,' and 'We're supposed to pretend Alesha was the front woman of Mis-Teeq instead of Sabrina are we?' Some even suggested the act would have been buzzed off if it were competing: 'If that act by Mis-Teeq was competing in BGT they'd get buzzed off.'

Despite the backlash, many viewers enjoyed the performance. One fan wrote: 'Mis-Teeq were amazingggg!' while another declared: 'Best act of BGT final. Alesha Dixon and Mis-Teeq!' A third enthused: 'Mis-Teeq have still got it! INSANE'. The performance also served to promote the group's upcoming 25th anniversary concert at Ovo Arena Wembley in September.

The grand final saw 10 acts compete for the £250,000 prize and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance, with the Hawkstone Farmers' Choir ultimately being crowned the winner.
