New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch has stated that he never visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island, after his name appeared more than 400 times in recently released US justice department files.
In a statement provided by the NFL team, Tisch acknowledged a brief association with Epstein, during which they exchanged emails about adult women, movies, philanthropy and investments. “I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island,” he said.
The documents, disclosed under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, contain millions of pages. Tisch, who won an Academy Award for producing Forrest Gump, was never charged with any crime related to the investigation.
Epstein died by suicide in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges. The files also mention his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell.
