Megan Thee Stallion has announced her split from NBA star Klay Thompson, accusing him of cheating. The 31-year-old singer released a statement to The Independent on Saturday, saying she decided to end the relationship after less than a year together.
“Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward,” she said. “I’m taking this time to prioritise myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”
Hours earlier, Megan posted on her Instagram Story, seemingly addressing the breakup. “Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house…got ‘cold feet’,” she wrote. She also referenced “HORRIBLE mood swings” and treatment during his basketball season, adding that Thompson was unsure about being “monogamous”.
The couple publicly confirmed their relationship in July 2025 at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. At the time, Megan described their meeting as “a meet-cute, it was like a f***ing movie” and called Thompson “the nicest person I've ever met in my life”. Thompson praised Megan’s charity work, saying he was “honoured to be here by her side”.
Megan and Thompson made their relationship Instagram official in July 2025, sharing photos from a tropical vacation. Thompson previously dated actresses Laura Harrier and Coco Jones, while Megan was linked to Torrey Craig and rapper Pardison Fontaine.
