Ruben Dias, the Manchester City footballer and ex-boyfriend of Love Island host Maya Jama, has been accused of 'toe-dipping' on social media during their relationship. The 29-year-old allegedly followed models and influencers late at night, only to unfollow them the next morning if they did not follow back.
Screenshots obtained by The Sun, reportedly from March, show Dias following and unfollowing model Catarina Duraes. A similar incident allegedly occurred last November with a woman named Claire from Perth. There is no suggestion of cheating or direct messaging, but an insider described the behaviour as 'seedy'.
Maya Jama and Ruben Dias split after approximately 18 months together, just weeks ago. They reportedly ended things before Jama left to film the upcoming season of Celebrity Traitors in Scotland, and she is now preparing for Love Island in Spain, while Dias focuses on the World Cup with Portugal.
A source previously told The Sun that the couple 'had a wonderful time together' but reached a 'crossroads' due to their demanding careers. They have both removed evidence of the relationship from their social media accounts.
