Married At First Sight Australia's Clint Rice has spoken candidly about his experience with TV bride Lauren Hall, revealing the 'demands' she made when they joined the show. The 43-year-old told Daily Mail that he had to 'step in' to secure a larger room that 'she was promised,' after they were initially given a small studio flat.
Lauren, a 37-year-old entrepreneur, had a turbulent journey on the reality show. After her first marriage to Elliot ended publicly, she was paired with Clint. However, the couple left the experiment during a couples' retreat, with Lauren describing herself as an 'old soul' and expressing 'no interest' in the other participants.
Clint admitted that he and Lauren felt like outsiders. 'I think the group turned on us because they could see we didn't want to hang out with them,' he said, adding that they preferred to avoid the drama. He also revealed that Lauren was 'burnt out' from the show after her difficult start with Eliot.
Despite the challenges, Clint harbours no ill will towards Lauren, describing her as a 'good person' who had her guard up. The couple's relationship ended after the retreat, but Clint acknowledged that Lauren found herself in a setting where she felt out of place.
