Homestay week finally arrived, with couples packing their bags and heading to their partner's home for the very first time. The pairs seized the opportunity to spend quality time with each other's families, envision their future together, and share opinions on each other's living spaces.
Gia's Disappointment with Scott's Home
However, power couple Scott and Gia's relationship began to unravel within minutes of the swap, as Gia made no secret of her disappointment with her husband's home. Following a tense session on the couch with the experts, the pair made their way to Scott's apartment on the Gold Coast. Scott's waterside property is a modern home boasting a breathtaking view overlooking the harbour.
Upon arriving at his bachelor pad, Gia was visibly far from impressed, immediately launching into criticism of Scott's home, declaring: 'Oh, it's a bit messy. Yeah I couldn't live here.' Looking around with a slight expression of disgust, she admitted that she was looking for a problem and between the rug on a rug to his hot tub bath, she found plenty to complain about.
Neck Pillow Controversy
Gia then stumbled upon what she considered a suspicious item lurking in Scott's wardrobe — his neck pillow. It became her biggest issue so far because it was pink, and she thought that it belonged to an ex. Scott, however, clarified that it was his, before questioning her apparent lack of trust in him. Matters went from bad to worse as Gia declared the apartment was too 'small', even going so far as to say she definitely 'couldn't live' there.

A deflated Scott found her attitude off-putting, remarking that he would 'never' say anything like that about somebody's home. Viewers wasted no time venting their frustration on social media, with many insisting that Gia is constantly on the lookout for something to complain about.
