Love Island Series 13 Launch Twist Leaves Kaz Kamwi 'Jealous'

Love Island series 13 kicked off with a groundbreaking twist, as the 12 contestants entered the villa at night for a glamorous welcome party, a departure from the traditional daytime swimwear introductions. Executive Producer Lewis Evans described the change as a 'big risk' for the show, promising new challenges and more beds for additional bombshells.

Former contestant Kaz Kamwi, who appeared in series seven and All Stars, shared her thoughts on the format shake-up. Speaking to BestBettingSites.co.uk, she said: 'It's so fresh. I felt like I was watching a whole new show. It was nothing like my one.' She expressed jealousy over the night-time entrances, noting that the new islanders 'have no idea what it's like' to worry about makeup melting in the sun.

Kamwi also praised the decision to have the boys and girls enter together, saying it breaks the ice and fosters early friendships. Additionally, islanders were allowed to choose their own coupling partners without public vote interference, a change Kamwi likened to 'Love Island Hunger Games edition.'
