Leading Labels to Close 15 Stores After Entering Liquidation

Leading Labels, a UK fashion retailer operating 15 stores across the country, has entered liquidation, with 'Everything Must Go' sales now underway at multiple locations. The company, which stocks brands including Calvin Klein, Wrangler, Elle and Joules, appointed liquidator Jeremy Bleazard of XL Business Solutions Limited on May 26.

The retailer received its initial Gazette notice on March 10, warning that unless cause is shown to the contrary, the company will be struck off the register and dissolved. According to Companies House, Leading Labels has outstanding accounts that were due by November 30, 2025.

One branch in Ipswich, which opened in 2022 in the former Top Shop and Top Man premises, has displayed sale notices. A spokeswoman told the East Anglian Daily Times that employees were unaware of the reasons behind the closure or when the shop will cease trading for good.

The closure follows a wave of fashion retailers shutting down amid mounting financial difficulties. Popular British fashion chain Quiz has also collapsed into administration for the second time in just over a year, having previously gone under in February 2025 before being quickly bought out.
