Liverpool coach Ruben Peeters has confirmed he will leave the club this summer, following the recent departure of manager Arne Slot. Peeters, who joined the Reds as lead physical performance coach in 2024 when Slot arrived from Feyenoord, announced his exit in a statement on LinkedIn.
In his message, Peeters expressed gratitude for his time at Anfield, calling the Premier League title win in the 2024-25 season the 'ultimate highlight'. He said: 'After two unforgettable seasons at Liverpool FC, it is time to say goodbye. Winning the Premier League together will always be a special memory.'
Peeters' departure comes after Liverpool announced on Saturday that they had parted ways with Slot with immediate effect. The club has begun searching for a successor, with former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola named as the early favourite for the role.
Additionally, defender Ibrahima Konate is set to leave Liverpool upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June. The France international made 183 appearances and scored seven goals during his five-year spell, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and two Carabao Cups.
