Lee Andrews, the husband of TV personality Katie Price, has reportedly devised a 'frantic escape' plan from his marriage amid claims he is wanted by Interpol. The 43-year-old has been missing in Dubai for nearly a week, with Price expressing fears she may never hear from him again.
According to reports, Andrews is squatting in a run-down villa and using a burner phone to communicate with trusted contacts. He is said to be wanted by Interpol after Hertfordshire Police escalated an investigation involving claims from a former partner. The Sun reported that Andrews is 'frantically planning a route out of this ginormous hole he appears to have buried himself in'.
Price, 47, claims her husband owes her money, having shown her cheques he allegedly deposited into her account, though the funds never appeared. She last spoke to him on Wednesday night before his phone location disappeared and his family lost contact at 10.03pm. On Saturday, Price stated on her YouTube channel that Andrews was 'missing', contrary to an earlier statement claiming he was taking a break from social media.
Price has been in contact with authorities in Dubai, who said they had no knowledge of his whereabouts. She believes he may have been kidnapped, describing a final FaceTime call where his wrists were tied, a hood was over his head, and he was sitting in an 'old, dirty van' with mesh windows, panicking that 'they [were] coming back for [him]'.
Andrews' family has filed an official missing persons report with the British Embassy in Dubai. The couple married in January after knowing each other for only days, making him her fourth husband and ninth engagement. Concerns have been raised by Price's family, including her sister Sophie and children Princess and Junior, who learned of the engagement via text and have not met Andrews.
It has also emerged that Andrews has lied on his CV, claiming affiliations with the Labour Party and The King's Trust, both of which denied any connection. He has been accused of scamming ex-girlfriends, including American businesswoman Crystal Janke, who invested £123,000 in his sustainable vehicle company without repayment. Another ex, Alana Percival, claims he pulled a similar vanishing act a year ago after telling her he had a 'life-limiting heart condition'.
