Lee Andrews' Ex Dismisses Spy Detention Claim

Lee Andrews' former partner Alana Percival has dismissed claims that the Dubai-based businessman is being held on spying charges. Katie Price's husband, 48, allegedly told her he was arrested on suspicion of espionage and detained at Al Awir prison, but Ms Percival cast doubt on the story.

Writing on Instagram, she said: "Watch Monday never come. He told me tomorrow tomorrow for 3 weeks and a spy charge well." Her comments came after Mr Andrews reportedly told Ms Price he expected to be released on Monday.

Concerns about Mr Andrews first emerged when he failed to appear on Good Morning Britain with Ms Price. He later sent a video claiming to be at an airport, but it appeared to be Dubai International rather than Muscat, where he was meant to be flying from.

Ms Price initially told fans her husband had been kidnapped, before sharing text messages reading "Been arrested, I'll be in touch." She filed a missing person report with the Criminal Investigation Department in the United Arab Emirates.

According to reports, Mr Andrews was arrested on 14 May after moving his possessions out of his rental apartment and staying with his father. He is expected to pay a four-figure fine. Hertfordshire Police confirmed they had received a report in March but referred it to Dubai as the alleged offences occurred there.
