Kristin Cabot, the chief people officer at tech firm Astronomer, has resigned after being caught on the kisscam at a Coldplay concert in Boston last week. The footage showed Cabot embracing CEO Andy Byron, who also resigned earlier this week.
In the viral clip, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joked: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy,” as the pair attempted to hide from the camera. Both Cabot and Byron were reported to be in existing relationships.
Astronomer confirmed Cabot's resignation in a statement, saying: “Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.” The firm also clarified that no other employees were present at the concert.
Interim CEO Pete DeJoy described the media attention as “unusual and surreal,” noting that few startups in the data and AI sector ever encounter such scrutiny. The incident has sparked widespread discussion online.
