Kira Cousins' Second Baby Scam Exposed: AI Fakes & Reborn Doll Deception
Kira Cousins' second baby scam exposed in web of lies

A second sickening baby scam has emerged in the case of Kira Cousins, the 22-year-old who fabricated an entire pregnancy and birth using a lifelike doll and AI-generated footage.

The Elaborate Pregnancy Hoax

Kira Cousins, a supermarket worker, deceived her family, friends, and the man she claimed was the father with a complex web of lies. She wore a fake baby bump, shared false ultrasound scan photos, and even posted what is believed to be AI-generated video footage showing a baby 'kicking' in her stomach.

Her deception included organising a gender reveal party and a lavish baby shower, where loved ones showered the 'expectant mother' with gifts. She maintained the charade after the supposed birth, claiming her daughter was a baby girl named Bonnie-Leigh. In reality, the infant was a high-end Reborn doll.

The hoax unravelled when Kira's mother entered her bedroom and discovered the doll. Shocking screenshots also suggest Kira allegedly told the supposed father that their daughter had tragically died.

A Second Scam and a TV Deal Controversy

In a new twist, a former friend known by the pseudonym 'Laura' has come forward to the Daily Mail with allegations of a prior scam. Laura claims Kira stole photos of her real baby, renamed the child, and posted the pictures on her own social media as if the infant were hers.

Laura expressed extreme distress, stating she felt "horrified" and "sick" knowing Kira lived nearby. "I don't know what this girl is capable of," she said.

Adding to the controversy, it has been reported that Kira has agreed to tell her story to a TV production company. A family friend told the Daily Record that she "will be thriving off of all the attention".

Confession and Aftermath

In an online statement, Kira Cousins admitted the deception. "I wasn't pregnant. There was no baby. I made it up and kept it going way too far," she confessed. Acknowledging she had "messed up", Kira explained that she hadn't known how to stop the elaborate lie.

The case has sparked widespread alarm, highlighting how advanced technology like AI can be weaponised to perpetuate cruel and elaborate frauds, causing profound emotional harm to victims.
