Instagram Activity Raises Questions
Despite previously positioning himself as a devoted husband following only Katie on the social media site, Lee's account has now added a second woman to the list of people he follows, with his follower count jumping from one to two. The self-styled billionaire businessman is now following a woman named Mari Sol. Mari boasts fewer than 900 followers, yet according to her Instagram bio, she has a variety of jobs. It remains unclear how Lee knows Mari or why the account has started following her.
Mari describes herself as both a 'biker babe' and a 'navy veteran.' She also claims to be part of the Rubicon Disaster Response Team and lists herself as a special event planner.
Katie's Concerns and Stepping Back
Katie is said to be 'disgusted' that she has not heard from 'kidnapped' Lee Andrews on her 48th birthday, over a week after her husband went missing. He disappeared suddenly, with their last contact being a call where she says Lee appeared to have his hands 'tied with cables.'
Katie has made it clear that she plans to step back from the search and focus on herself. She has been spending her birthday with her children and took to social media to share a cryptic post. She shared a quote that read: 'You can't break a woman who has survived family issues, financial struggles, career pressure, stress, heartbreak and betrayal, yet still chose not to give up. A woman like that does not fall easily. She rebuilds herself again and again, no matter how many times life tries to shake her.'
Katie had said she was stepping back from it all and leaving the search to the authorities. She said: 'I've never known a week of so much stuff everywhere. My brain has just been bonkers. Everyone's seen my YouTube - there's nothing more for me to say apart from the police are now handling it. The British police, British consulate, Foreign Office, Interpol; they're all on the case now looking for Lee. My tentacles are up, I'm not stupid. There's one person I need to look after, myself. I'm taking a step back and that's it. I don't know what's true and what's not true. I don't know. My antennas are up and I've decided to take a step back from everything and assess everything in my way. What will be will be.'
Katie said she refused to speak about it anymore and admitted it wasn't a nice thing to be going through. 'I'm not talking about it anymore. It's getting ridiculous now, just people taking the p**s out of it. I already feel like a d**k as it is from the TV show. It's not a nice feeling to be going through it,' she said. 'I've learned from the past with therapy, when there's triggers and how to deal with it. Today, I've decided to say to myself, "Kate you've got the best people looking for him. All I can do is just get on with my life." I've got lots of exciting things coming up. I'm just waiting for a call. What am I supposed to do? Sit here and cry and stay in bed? No because I'm not that. We will find out everything, I'm sure.'
