Katie Price has disclosed the final text messages from her missing husband, Lee Andrews, who claimed he was being detained at a covert police facility, known as a 'black site', in Dubai. The reality star, 47, reported Andrews missing on Saturday after he failed to arrive in the UK for a scheduled joint interview on Good Morning Britain.
Final Texts Reveal Detention Claims
According to messages seen by The Sun, Andrews texted Price between 12:36am and 1:01am on the night he disappeared. He wrote: 'Been arrested. I'll be in touch. I'm ok xx.' Price replied: 'Where? Why? I'm worried. I love you.' Andrews then informed her that his 'other phone' had been instructing her to contact the British Embassy as he was being taken to a 'black site'. He added: 'It's a black site, I love you, I sort it. I'm in the van… just being detained wtf.'
Price Fears Kidnapping
In a YouTube video on Saturday, Price expressed fears that Andrews may have been kidnapped. 'The last time I heard from Lee was Wednesday night at 10pm, he was trying to go through the border in Dubai to get on a flight to me,' she said. 'We are wondering if he's been kidnapped; he's definitely a missing person now.' She later stated that she has not received any ransom demands, saying: 'No one's come to me if it was a ransom.'
Mother-in-Law Accuses Price of Exploitation
Lee Andrews' mother, Trisha Andrews, has criticised Price, accusing her of 'exploiting' the situation. After Price shared her clairvoyant business on Facebook during the disappearance, Trisha responded to a commenter: 'Thank you Jane it's Katy exployting And I get all the backlash.' The Independent has contacted Price for comment.
