Katie Price's Husband Faces £100,000 Dubai Prison Fine

Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews will reportedly need to pay £100,000 to be released from prison in Dubai. The former glamour model, 48, married Lee in January after a whirlwind romance. He has spent weeks detained at Al Awir prison over a 'private civil matter', contrary to his earlier claims of espionage.

Release Conditions

Insiders reveal that Lee must pay a £100,000 fine to secure his freedom. A source told The Sun: 'Katie is desperately trying to get Lee out of prison. Despite everything that’s gone on, Lee is her husband and Katie wants to get him out and get the answers she so badly needs. She has been to the prison a number of times now, including going there today, to try to get the paperwork sorted to secure his release. To be released, Lee will have to pay over £100,000. He is confident he can get the cash and has assured Katie she won’t need to pay anything.'

The Daily Mail has contacted Katie's representatives for comment.

Katie's Cryptic Post

On Wednesday, Katie shared a cryptic Instagram post about 'heartbreak and loss she didn't see coming', a day after flying to Dubai to reunite with her spouse. An insider told the Daily Mail: 'Katie is going to the [Al Awir] prison on Wednesday to try to speak to Lee. He is still locked up there and it does not look like he is getting out any time soon.'

As she flew to Dubai, Katie posted: 'Behind every strong woman is a story that changed her. A heartbreak she didn't see coming. A loss she never wanted. A battle she never asked to fight. She didn't become strong because it was easy, she became strong because she had no other choice. And now? That strength is her power. Her resilience is her weapon. Her faith is her anchor. She may carry scars, but those scars shine as proof that she made it through.'

She continued: 'Strong women aren't born, they're built in the fire. And if you see one standing tall, know this: she carries a story of survival that turned into strength.'

Recent Developments

Katie was spotted at London Gatwick airport on Monday, flying to Dubai with a large pink suitcase, accompanied by videographer Ben Algar. On Tuesday, Lee mysteriously re-followed Katie on Instagram after unfollowing her, but has remained silent on social media.

On her podcast last Thursday, Katie said: 'When [Lee] gets out, I'm going to ask him about all of it because everything needs an explanation. There's so much speculation about you, it's about time you actually do a sit-down video interview, because I think the public deserve it.'

She was still wearing her diamond ring, showing commitment after their January marriage, less than a week after meeting.

Phone Call Details

Lee made a two-minute phone call to Katie from jail. A source told the Daily Mail: 'Katie has gone to Dubai to have it out with Lee. She took the 2.35pm flight from Gatwick yesterday. Katie feels let down and she's been lied to on several points and been made to look stupid in front of family and friends. Not to mention the world on social media. She's being shown things on a daily basis about him and showing he's a possible fraud. She doesn't want to admit defeat and call it a day on their marriage.'

On her podcast, Katie explained the phone situation: 'I did ask him about the phone situation. He hasn't been on his phone - he's been interrogated and they've been on his phone. So they've been mucking around on his phone - it wasn't Lee.' She also addressed rumours of him following another woman online: 'What happened with the woman was she activated her account and she followed him or he followed her. But then she blocked him. They've never exchanged messages. But I did ask him "apparently you've followed another woman!..."'
