Katie Price's husband Lee Andrews has been reported as an official missing person, five days after she last heard from him, according to reports. The Dubai-based businessman failed to appear for a joint Good Morning Britain interview last Monday, saying he had “things to do” but was on his way.
Price, who married Andrews in January days after meeting him, said they last spoke on Wednesday night as he travelled through the Oman border in Dubai. She has been unable to reach him since and has voiced fears that he has been kidnapped. In a YouTube update on Saturday, she described a FaceTime call in which he appeared with a hood and said he had been “captured or arrested”, with ties around his hands, before his phone went dead at 10.03pm.
The former glamour model, 47, said she has spoken to the head of CID in Dubai, who was unable to find him but confirmed he had not been detained. She added that no one can find any record of him in prisons or police stations, and that she is wondering if he has been kidnapped.
It has now been reported that Andrews' family have filed a missing persons report at the British Embassy in Dubai. A source told The Sun: “Lee is officially a missing person now. Katie is in constant contact with his family and is desperately worried. And she's mortified — she's seen people calling it a stunt and that she must be in on it, but she's absolutely not.”
Andrews, who has faced rumours of a travel ban, failed to fly to the UK for the couple's first live TV interview. Afterwards, Price said he had made her “look like a d**k” and likened their relationship to soap opera EastEnders. The Standard has contacted Price's representative for comment.
