Katie Price was forced to end her weekly podcast early after receiving a phone call from police, amid the ongoing search for her missing husband Lee Andrews. The reality star, 47, had been providing regular updates on social media since Andrews disappeared in Dubai last week, leading her to believe he had been kidnapped.
During the latest episode of The Katie Price Show, which typically lasts 40-45 minutes, the broadcast was cut short at 33 minutes. In the final moments, her sister Sophie informed listeners: 'Kate has had to shoot off because she is taking a call from the police, so that is it for today’s episode.'
Earlier in the podcast, Price stated that the British police, the British consulate, the Foreign Office, and Interpol were all handling the case. 'They are all on the case now, looking for Lee, and a lot of people didn’t think this was serious; they still don’t think it is serious,' she said. 'There is absolutely nothing more I can do, nothing more I can say and now the police are dealing with it, I’m just leaving it to the police.'
Andrews had been officially filed as a missing person after failing to return to the UK. Reports have emerged that he is wanted by Interpol and has a history of legal troubles in Dubai, including a prison sentence for alleged fraud and outstanding debts. Price confirmed he was subject to a travel ban from the UAE but did not clarify the reason.
The couple married in Dubai earlier this year, but Andrews was unable to accompany Price back to the UK. His social media persona, which claimed he was a CEO and investor in SpaceX Hybrid Fitness, has been questioned, with some photos allegedly created using AI. Price has now stepped back from the search, saying she is leaving it to the authorities.
