The former glamour model posted the audio on YouTube, saying it provides a 'unique insight' into the hours after Lee vanished nearly two weeks ago.
In the video, Price says Lee contacted her using a secret third phone, claiming his captors were unaware of its existence. 'They've taken two of my phones. They don't know I'm on this phone,' she quoted him as saying. She added that he sent a quick text before disappearing, urging her to inform his father if anyone called.
Lee Andrews, a self-proclaimed billionaire, has been absent from social media until recently, when he began following an account belonging to a woman named Marisol. Previously, he only followed Price. The circumstances of his disappearance have sparked speculation, with some pointing out inconsistencies in Price's account.
Lee's father has contradicted the kidnapping narrative, stating that his son is not missing but is under arrest in Dubai. 'Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don't know on what charge,' he told reporters. The case has drawn comparisons to that of British grandfather Albert Douglas, who was held for financial fraud in Dubai in 2019.
A family friend expressed concern over Price's public posts, saying the family is 'sick with worry' and trying to stay off social media amid 'cruel jokes' and online speculation. Lee and Katie met online before she flew to Dubai to marry him in a private ceremony.
