Katie Price landed in the UK on Friday morning without her wedding ring, despite wearing it throughout her trip to Dubai. The 47-year-old star travelled to Dubai on Monday in an attempt to help her husband Lee, who she claims is imprisoned in Al Awir prison. Photographs from Gatwick Airport showed her ring finger bare.
Price had kept followers updated on her plans, stating on social media: 'I know he's in a prison. I've been told if two cases are paid they'll let him out. I'm going to see if that's true.' Reports suggest that £100,000 is required to secure Lee's release. A source told the Mirror that Price has not left the marriage and removed the ring only to create a story, adding: 'She knows she has to be seen to be doing the right thing. But she hasn't left him, she's very much into this marriage.'
During her stay in Dubai, Price visited the prison several times but also shared snaps of herself enjoying room service, lounging by the pool, eating cake, getting a Thai massage, and ordering champagne. She was accompanied by content creator Ben Algar and appeared to record content for her podcast, including a now-deleted episode with Lee's ex-wife Dina.
In the deleted video, Dina, a 41-year-old Palestinian fitness coach who runs a cat sanctuary, discussed her past relationship with Lee. Price said: 'I came to Dina about one of the cases because I thought, is Dina involved? And then obviously we had a cup of tea, as girls do, we've had a long chat.' The pair hugged, and the clip ended. The podcast episode has since been removed from Price's account.
A source commented that Price monetises everything she does, stating: 'Anything Katie does is monetised, that is her life. She’s done this with quite a few of her exes, she’ll do a big interview, write a book. She'll cash in on it.'
