Katie Price is reportedly weighing up all options regarding her marriage to husband Lee Andrews, including a possible split, after he failed to show up for their joint appearance on Good Morning Britain earlier this week. The former glamour model, 47, is said to be left 'distraught' and 'super embarrassed' by the no-show, which friends claim has caused her to seriously reconsider their future together.
A source close to Katie told us: 'Lee has finally shown his true colours with the ITV interview this week. This is the ultimate letdown.' The source added that Katie, who has stood by Lee throughout their whirlwind romance, feels incredibly let down and is at a particularly low point. She has also removed her wedding ring.
Katie married self-proclaimed businessman Lee, 43, in Dubai in January, just a week after meeting him and weeks after splitting from boyfriend JJ Slater. The marriage has caused tension with Katie's children, as she has spent long periods in Dubai while they remain in the UK.
Lee was due to fly to the UK for the TV appearance but claimed to be stuck at Muscat airport in Oman, posting footage online. However, viewers identified the location as Dubai airport, and he was pictured in a public area before security check-in. Lee is thought to be unable to leave Dubai after allegedly forging his ex-girlfriend's signature to secure a £200,000 loan – something he denies. He also reportedly spent three weeks in jail last year for allegedly obtaining funds by deception.
As a British citizen who married abroad, Katie could file for divorce through English courts without returning to Dubai, provided she meets residency requirements.
