Jools Oliver Threatens to Leave Jamie Over Flying Hobby

Jamie Oliver's wife Jools has issued an ultimatum over his new hobby, threatening to leave him if he buys a plane. The celebrity chef revealed on US talk show host Sherri Shepherd's programme that Jools is unhappy with his passion for flying.

Jamie, who has been married to Jools for over 25 years and has five children, said he took up flying after working hard for 30 years without time for hobbies. He described the experience as 'invigorating' because it forces him to focus on one thing at a time.

However, Jools does not share his enthusiasm. Jamie told Sherri: 'She hates it. She saw me looking at some planes the other day and said, "If you buy a plane, I'll leave you."'

The chef, who has not yet obtained his private pilot's licence, has already completed several solo flights. He described the aviation community as 'the cutest thing ever' and said he felt ready for his first solo, though he admitted he 'never perspired so much in my life'.

Ironically, Jools initially sparked his interest by buying him a flying lesson as a birthday present five years ago. Jamie said he never took up the lessons until recently, when he began driving past an airfield while dropping his children at school.
