Jill Biden has admitted that she was taken aback by a statement former Vice President Kamala Harris made about former President Joe Biden in her memoir. Harris wrote in her book that Joe Biden's ego and ambition effectively damaged Democrats' hopes in the 2024 presidential election.
A Surprising Revelation
“I was a little surprised she wrote that,” Jill Biden told MSNBC's Morning Joe, adding that “Joe and Kamala, me, Doug (Emhoff), I thought we were a great team.” She further stated that “when Joe got out, he handed over the reins to Kamala” and “had full confidence in her.”
Jill Biden made these remarks during her media tour promoting her new memoir about the Biden family's years in the White House. The former first lady emphasized that her husband and Harris remain on good terms, noting that Harris had called two days prior to check on Joe Biden's health.
