James Haskell Expresses Lasting Affection for Ex-Wife Chloe Madeley

Former England rugby player James Haskell has opened up about his feelings towards his ex-wife Chloe Madeley, admitting she made him a "better person" and that he still holds "love" for her. The couple split in October 2023 after five years of marriage and have a daughter, Bodhi.

Speaking on the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, Haskell said: "Chloe is an amazing woman, extremely talented, she's made me a much better person, being with her, now we're separated. You separate essentially because you want to make sure your daughter has the best possible life." He stressed the importance of co-parenting and their daughter's wellbeing.

Chloe, daughter of television icons Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, has described the final year of their marriage as "one of the worst periods of my life". Rumours suggest Haskell's hectic lifestyle as a DJ may have contributed to the split, with tensions previously flaring over his social media posts in Ibiza.

Haskell reflected on the permanence of social media compared to traditional media, and said he anticipates their daughter will one day ask about the separation. His planned response: "I still love Chloe, you know we love you, and this is what happened." The pair will appear on Pointless Celebrities on BBC One at 8.35pm.
