Misse Beqiri, the ex-partner of late TOWIE star Jake Hall, has revealed the devastating moment she told their eight-year-old daughter River that her father had died. Hall died at the age of 35 after falling through a glass door at his rental apartment in Spain.
Beqiri described the conversation as the worst thing she has ever had to do. 'It didn’t feel like it was real for me to have to tell my child that her dad had passed. She was really upset, of course,' she said. River is now receiving therapy and has the support of both families, as well as her brother in Denmark.
In a tragic coincidence, Beqiri was in Mallorca on the day Hall died, having lost her passport while returning from Ibiza. She received the news while there and flew home immediately. She says she knows no more about the incident than what the police report states: that it was a terrible accident.
Hall was laid to rest earlier this month at an unconventional wake, which included guests such as James Argent and David Beckham's mother and sister. Hall's brother Sonny explained the decision: 'We wanted to give Jake a send-off that matched who he was - not a quiet room, not a conventional goodbye. He lived out loud.'
