Chloe Lewis, the childhood sweetheart of late The Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall, has subtly acknowledged his passing by liking a heartfelt tribute post from one of his close friends. The reality television personality was discovered deceased at approximately 7:30 AM on Wednesday at a rented property in Santa Margalida, Mallorca, with fatal head injuries believed to have been caused by shards of glass after falling through a glass door.
A Silent Nod to the Past
Chloe, 35, who dated Jake from their teenage years through an on-again, off-again relationship during their time on the show, maintained a dignified silence following the news of his death on Thursday. However, she publicly acknowledged the loss by liking a poignant post from Jake's friend Dan Bulman. In his touching message, Dan described Jake as a 'fiercely loyal and loving father' to his eight-year-old daughter River, whom he shared with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Misse Bequiri.
A Friendship Remembered
Dan's tribute read: 'I rarely post stuff on here but if there's one guy worth taking a different path for it's my mate Jake. It's incredibly hard to believe he's gone in a flash, just like that...' He recalled their recent conversations, noting Jake's 'raw creative power' and personable nature. Dan also shared a 'manifesto' they had co-written for what was to be Jake's next chapter, a document that encapsulated Jake's multifaceted personality and ambitions.
The manifesto included lines such as: 'Keep it simple. That's what you're told. Pick one thing. Introduce yourself with a job title. Be easier to explain. Stop taking up so much space with all your contradictions, your ambition and your sensitivity...' It concluded with a powerful message: 'The world told you to choose. So, choose. Choose everything.'
Investigation Underway
Following the tragic incident, four men and two women are reported to have been questioned by police. Officers were called to the rented house in Santa Margalida after reports of a disturbance. A source stated: 'Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the party back at the place he was renting.' No arrests have been made, but the Spanish Civil Guard is continuing its investigation. An autopsy for Jake is scheduled to take place in Palma.
