Haunting new video footage has emerged of Jay Slater partying in a swimming pool in Ibiza, as family and friends prepare to say their final goodbyes. The 19-year-old's close friend Lucy Mae Law, 19, shared the clip showing a shirtless Jay dancing among a crowd of partygoers.
Lucy Mae captioned the video 'always dancing' in a touching tribute. She was with Jay on the trip and was the first to raise the alarm when he disappeared on June 17 after attending a rave. She assisted search teams before returning to their hometown of Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire.
Jay's body was found in mid-July, with a post-mortem concluding his death was due to traumatic head injuries consistent with a fall from height. His remains have been returned to the UK, and his funeral is scheduled for August 10 at Accrington Cemetery Chapel.
The family has described the funeral as a 'celebration of his life' and asked attendees to wear something blue in his memory. Instead of flowers, they request donations to LBT Global, the charity that supported them. In a tribute, they remembered Jay as a 'loving son' and 'loyal friend'.
