Ivanka Trump has posted a series of photos from her brother Donald Trump Jr.'s beachside wedding in the Bahamas, but notably absent from the images were the bride and groom themselves.
The 44-year-old former senior adviser shared nearly a dozen snapshots on Instagram to her 8.6 million followers on Monday, showing herself relaxing with her husband Jared Kushner, half-sister Tiffany Trump, niece Kai Trump, and sister-in-law Lara Trump. None of the pictures featured Donald Trump Jr. or his new wife, Bettina Anderson.
One image showed Ivanka and Kai Trump standing on paddleboards in turquoise water, captioned 'The best paddleboard partner.' Another showed the pair in dresses in front of lush greenery. Ivanka also shared a selfie with Tiffany and Lara on a beach near a cabana.
President Donald Trump was notably absent from the ceremony, citing 'circumstances pertaining to Government.' He wrote on Truth Social that while he wanted to be with his son, his love for the United States prevented him from attending. The president had earlier told reporters he would try to make it but was occupied with issues including Iran.
Donald Trump Jr., 48, married Bettina Anderson, a 39-year-old model and Palm Beach socialite, on a private island on Saturday. The couple became engaged in December after a proposal at Camp David. Trump Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump, with whom he has five children, and was later engaged to former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle.
