Ivanka Trump has offered public support to her former sister-in-law Vanessa Trump after she revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Vanessa announced the news on Instagram on May 20, describing it as a “personal health update”. She said she is working closely with her medical team on a treatment plan and had already undergone a procedure earlier that week.
Ivanka responded to the post with a comment: “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.”
Vanessa shares five children with Ivanka’s ex-husband Donald Trump Jr. The couple divorced in 2018 but have maintained a friendship for the sake of their children. Their daughter Kai also paid tribute, calling her mother “the strongest person I know” in an Instagram story alongside a photo from her high school graduation.
Vanessa’s partner, Tiger Woods, attended Kai’s graduation ceremony quietly. Woods had recently returned from treatment abroad following his DUI arrest in March, having completed a six-week inpatient programme in Switzerland.
