Islam Channel Investigation Claim Corrected After IPSO Ruling
Islam Channel Investigation Claim Corrected After IPSO

An article published on 16 March 2025 carried the headline “Islam Channel facing Ofcom investigation over claims it incites extremism and breaches rules on impartiality”. This was misleading - Ofcom had yet to make a decision to investigate at the time of publication.

This correction has been published following an upheld ruling by the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO). The original headline gave the false impression that a formal investigation was underway, when in fact no such decision had been made by the regulator.
