Julia Stakhiva, who gained fame on the E4 show Rich Kids of Instagram as a 'billionaire's daughter', has been revealed to be renting a room in a flat owned by a journalist's mother-in-law. The show featured her lavish lifestyle, but it has now emerged that the backdrop for her antics was a rented bedroom.
Stakhiva, known for quotes like 'Anyone can be rich but not everyone can be beautiful', used the flat for photoshoots and filming while the owner was away. She allegedly signed release forms with false information to allow cameras into the property.
Following inquiries by E4, all footage featuring the flat has been re-edited and removed from the show. Stakhiva remains on the programme and has since appeared on This Morning, where she claimed she was 'too beautiful to work' and unaware that not everyone could afford designer bags.
Kensington and Chelsea police are investigating a report of missing bags and other property from a local address, though it is unclear if Stakhiva is involved.
