Influencer and Lawyer Father Accused of Plot to Kill Boy Band Ex via Dark Web
Influencer and Dad Accused of Dark Web Murder Plot

An influencer and her attorney father have been arrested for allegedly conspiring to hire a hitman via the dark web to murder her former boyfriend, a boy band singer. TikTok personality Gabriela Gonzalez, 25, is accused by Los Angeles County prosecutors of plotting with her father, Francisco Gonzalez, an attorney, to arrange the killing of Jack Avery.

The Accusations

Gabriela Gonzalez, known on TikTok as gabbieegonzalez for her lifestyle, travel, and motherhood content, shares a seven-year-old daughter with Avery, according to police reports. The couple has been embroiled in a long-standing custody and visitation dispute, with Francisco Gonzalez allegedly deeply involved.

Alleged Surveillance and Threats

Authorities claim Francisco Gonzalez hired a private investigator to surveil Avery, seeking evidence of drinking, smoking, or behavior that could be used against him in custody proceedings. In one instance, he reportedly threatened to have Avery arrested if he attempted to visit his daughter.

The Dark Web Plot

Prosecutors allege that between 2020 and 2021, Gabriela asked her then-boyfriend, Kai Cordrey, to help find a hitman on the dark web to kill Avery. Francisco Gonzalez allegedly sent Cordrey $10,000 (approximately £7,400) for the task, disguising it as a web development fee. Cordrey later requested an additional $4,000 (£2,900), which Francisco paid.

In September 2021, Cordrey allegedly began communicating with an undercover law enforcement agent posing as a hitman. He reportedly identified Avery as the target, discussed payment methods, and asked how the death would be verified. Cordrey allegedly stated that Gabriela had ordered the murder and that Francisco would provide the funds.

Arrests and Charges

Gabriela was arrested last week in California, while Francisco was detained in Lake Mary, Florida, on Monday. Both face charges of conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation of murder, and attempted murder-for-hire. Cordrey was also charged. If convicted, the trio faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison.

Following news of the arrest, Avery filed a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, according to TMZ.
