Heiress in $200M Divorce Battle Transferred Company to Hide Assets, Court Papers Claim
Heiress Transferred Company in $200M Divorce, Court Says

An heiress locked in a $200 million divorce battle with her doctor husband signed off control of her company so he couldn't claim it, according to court papers. Setareh Bral passed over control of Star Pacific Properties not long after separating from her husband Dr. Ryan Aronin, The California Post reported.

Allegations of Asset Concealment

In court documents seen by the outlet, Aronin claimed that the property management firm is now controlled by his wife's brother, Sean Bral. 'Setareh took deliberate actions to reduce her income on paper and restrict her access to funds,' the papers stated. Aronin said the two split in March 2022, with the documents passing control of the business between siblings dated October 2024. Bral, however, said they split in April 2024.

He made the allegation in a motion filed in their ongoing split as he asked the courts to allow proceedings to continue as scheduled and not delay them further. According to the outlet, their divorce is centered around Bral's family trust, which is worth $200 million. It was established by her father, who fled Iran shortly before the fall of the last Shah of Iran in 1979 and moved to Los Angeles.

Claims of Income Hiding

Aronin claimed in court documents that Bral gave up access to the trust to hide her own income and avoid having to pay him anything in their divorce. The papers said: 'She willingly abdicated responsibility to administer the SYB Family Trusts, likely an attempt to distance herself from control over discretionary trust distributions.' He also claimed that Bral is still making rental income generated by the trust after posting a trust-owned property for rent at $4,950 a month. Her property management firm owns and operates two commercial buildings in Los Angeles.

The two married in 2014 and lived inside a $6 million home in Beverly Hills, which is owned by the trust. Text messages between the two have also been filed in their divorce, with Bral writing to Aronin: 'People treat their dogs better than you treat me.' Surveillance camera images were also included in the papers, showing Bral throwing Aronin's clothes from the balcony of their home.

Financial Disparities

According to Aronin, he makes $190,000 a year as a doctor at UCLA, while claiming his wife is worth $19 million and can make as much as $700,000 per year. The Daily Mail contacted both parties for comment.
