Jamie Bigg, known as 'Giant' on the BBC reboot of Gladiators, has spoken out after being dropped from the show. The 30-year-old claimed he was given an ultimatum between his relationship and his role on the programme.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Bigg said he was told his contract for season four would not be renewed because of his girlfriend Taylor Ryan's work as an OnlyFans creator. He described being 'faced with a choice that didn't align with my values'.
In an emotional Instagram statement, Bigg wrote: 'I want to tell you all that I won’t be coming back for season 4 of the TV show. Being a Gladiator has been one of the greatest honours of my life.' He added: 'What I do want to make clear is this wasn’t a decision I made to step away.'
Bigg's girlfriend, Taylor Ryan, also appeared on Good Morning Britain, saying his decision to leave was 'a very telling moment of the type of man that he is'. Bigg joined the show in January 2024 and appeared in three series before his sudden exit.
