Gladiators star Giant, real name Jamie Bigg, has been dropped from the BBC show after going public with his new girlfriend, OnlyFans model Taylor Ryan. The 40-year-old athlete, who has appeared on the rebooted series since 2024, said he was 'shocked and disappointed' by the decision, which he believes is linked to his partner's work.
Giant's ex-wife Katie Christian has spoken out on Instagram, expressing her hurt at the speed of his new relationship. 'Finding out about a new relationship so soon has been a shock,' she wrote. 'It's hurtful and painful to take in, especially as I'm still processing the breakdown of my marriage of 13 years. We're not even divorced yet.'
The couple split at the end of 2025 after 13 years of marriage, citing the pressures of fame and his bodybuilding lifestyle. They share two children. Giant now plans to start a family with Taylor Ryan, 28, whom he described as 'a business-minded entrepreneur' and 'one of the kindest people I've ever met'.
In a statement to The Mirror, Giant said the BBC raised 'child safeguarding' concerns during conversations about his relationship. He insisted he has always upheld professional and personal standards, adding: 'I stand by my values, and I stand by the people I love.'
A Gladiators spokesperson confirmed his departure, saying: 'After three formidable series, Giant is leaving Gladiators. We'd like to thank him for everything he has contributed to the show and wish him well for the future.'
