Gemma Collins has alleged that there is “stuff going on behind the scenes” of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa. The former TOWIE star, 45, made the claim on Instagram after revealing that a “very upset” Adam Thomas had contacted her on Thursday morning.
The Emmerdale actor, who has arthritis, has faced criticism from boxer David Haye. Haye accused Adam of using his condition to avoid trials and challenges, and suggested on This Morning that Thomas was “playing the victim card”.
Collins urged her two million followers to vote for Thomas in Friday’s live final, writing: “There’s stuff going on behind the scenes and Adam called me very upset this morning!” She added: “Adam was a champ till the end. Pure will always win.”
Thomas has previously spoken about seeking therapy due to the ordeal. On the At Home With The Thomas Bros podcast, he described reaching “breaking point” and struggling to speak up for himself during the show.
David Haye, meanwhile, predicted Thomas would win the series, saying: “He can milk it, and he’ll probably win it off the strength of all the old biddies going ‘Oh, poor Adam!’”
