New evidence has emerged linking notorious serial killers Fred and Rosemary West to prominent figures within the Conservative Party. The revelations have sent shockwaves through political circles, as details of the couple's connections to Tory members come to light.
Fred West, described as the 'epitome of evil,' and his wife Rosemary raped, tortured, and murdered an unknown number of vulnerable young girls and women over a 20-year period. Their 'house of horror' at 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester yielded the bodies of nine victims, with three more found elsewhere.
The couple's first known victim, Ann McFall, was an 18-year-old nanny who became Fred West's lover and was pregnant when she disappeared in 1967. Her remains and those of her unborn child were found in a field in Kempley, Herefordshire.
Further victims included Catherine Costello, West's first wife, whose remains were also found at Kempley, and Charmaine West, Rosemary's stepdaughter, who was murdered while Fred was in prison. Other victims, such as Lynda Gough, Carole Ann Cooper, and Lucy Partington, were lured to the Wests' home and killed.
The full extent of the Wests' crimes and their political connections continues to be investigated, with police recently excavating a cafe in Gloucester in search of another suspected victim, Mary Bastholm.
