A First Dates contestant left his blind date speechless after revealing he shares a birthday with Adolf Hitler. The awkward moment unfolded during a new episode of the Channel 4 dating show, which returned to a restaurant in Bath this year.
Amber, from Buckinghamshire, and James, from Oxfordshire, appeared to hit it off initially. However, when Amber asked James when his birthday is, he replied April 20. Amber described this as a 'green flag', noting that everyone in her family has April birthdays except her.
James then dropped a bombshell: 'I have the same birthday as Hitler.' A stunned Amber simply replied, 'Oh.' James joked that it was a 'red flag', but insisted he has no connection to the Nazi leader. Amber responded, 'I wouldn't shout that out,' before adding, 'Shall I tell you now or later that I'm Jewish?'
The pair continued their date, with Amber awarding another 'green flag' after noticing James's resemblance to her celebrity crush, Robert Pattinson. James also impressed Amber with his travel stories. As the date ended, James asked Amber about her go-to meal deal, a question he described as 'telling'.
