Hungary's opposition Fidesz party, led by former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, said prosecutors raided its servers to examine the party's "entire communications system and databases."
In a Facebook post, the party called the intervention unprecedented in Hungary's post-communist history and blamed "the tyranny" of the new government, led by Péter Magyar, for the raid.

"The Tisza Party's plan to eliminate Fidesz and with it the resistance to tyranny through political means has failed. Therefore, the Tisza Party is now attempting to legally disable Fidesz," the statement read.

Prime Minister Magyar responded on his Facebook page, saying: "We await the information on what case they are investigating and what was seized."
