Newly released documents from the Jeffrey Epstein case have revealed the disgraced financier fathered a secret son shortly after his release from prison, according to email correspondence made public this week.
The Secret Heir Emerges
The so-called Epstein files, released by the US Department of Justice, contain a previously unseen email from Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, that confirms Epstein had a baby boy with an unnamed woman around September 2011. This was just months after Epstein completed his controversial prison sentence for soliciting sex from underage girls.
In the email dated September 21, 2011, Ferguson writes to Epstein: 'Don't know if you're still on this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger] but have heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy.' The reference to 'The Duke' strongly implies she received this information from her ex-husband, Prince Andrew.
Ferguson's Controversial Outreach
What makes this revelation particularly striking is Ferguson's decision to reach out to Epstein despite his conviction for child sex offences. Her email continues with a pointed remark about their lapsed communication: 'Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship and congratulations on your baby boy.' She signs off simply: 'Sarah x.'
This correspondence raises significant questions about the nature of Ferguson's relationship with Epstein following his prison release. It remains unclear whether Epstein ever responded to her message offering continued friendship and congratulations.
The Missing Heir Question
Throughout his lifetime, Epstein never publicly acknowledged having any children, despite his well-documented relationships with hundreds of women. His last will, changed shortly before his death in a New York prison cell in 2019, designated his then-girlfriend Karyna Shuliak as the primary beneficiary of his substantial fortune, properties, and private island.
The existence of this secret son, who would now be approximately fourteen years old and potentially in secondary school, complicates the inheritance narrative significantly. Harvey Morse, founder of DNA firm Morse Genealogical Services, commented in 2020: 'Jeffrey Epstein was sexually promiscuous for so long that there is a reasonable chance he may have fathered a child. He could even be a grandfather.'
Multiple Claims to Fortune
Following Epstein's death, more than one hundred individuals came forward claiming they might be his biological offspring and therefore entitled to a share of his estate. Morse's company established a dedicated website, epsteinheirs.com, which reportedly attracted 130 claimants. However, Morse noted that at least a quarter of these claims were dismissed as unreliable almost immediately.
Broader Revelations from Latest Document Release
The revelation about Epstein's secret son forms part of a much larger cache of documents released on Friday, comprising approximately 180,000 images and 2,000 videos. Among these materials is previously unseen footage showing Epstein describing himself as a 'tier one' sexual predator during an interview believed to have been conducted by Steve Bannon, Donald Trump's former chief strategist.
In the disturbing exchange, when asked whether he considers himself 'the Devil himself,' Epstein responds: 'No, but I do have a good mirror.' Pressed further, he admits: 'No, the devil scares me.' The interview's exact timing and location remain unclear, as does the reason Bannon was chosen to question Epstein.
International Espionage Allegations
Perhaps even more explosive are intelligence suggestions emerging alongside these documents that Epstein was running 'the world's largest honeytrap operation' on behalf of the KGB. Senior security officials now claim the financier was working for Moscow, and possibly Israeli intelligence, when he facilitated encounters for powerful global figures.
The newly released files contain 1,056 documents mentioning Russian President Vladimir Putin and 9,629 references to Moscow. Remarkably, Epstein appears to have secured audiences with Putin following his 2008 conviction for procuring a child for prostitution.
Intelligence sources suggest Epstein's introduction to espionage came through business dealings with Robert Maxwell, the disgraced media magnate whose daughter Ghislaine Maxwell is currently serving a twenty-year sentence for offences linked to her association with Epstein. These sources claim Maxwell was a Russian asset from the 1970s and that Epstein helped him launder Russian money into Western economies.
Compromising Powerful Figures
The documents also contain an email alleging Bill Gates requested medicine to treat sexually transmitted diseases due to 'sex with Russian girls' – a claim Gates has dismissed as 'completely false.' Another document confirms earlier reports that Epstein offered to introduce Prince Andrew to a 'beautiful' twenty-six-year-old Russian woman in August 2010.
A security source summarised the situation starkly: 'You have Andrew, Bill Gates, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and all the rest placed in compromising positions on an island bristling with technology. It's the world's largest honey trap operation.'
US security officials additionally believe Epstein maintained long-standing connections with Russian organised crime, which might explain his apparent ease in flying young women from Russia to his properties. While no documentary evidence directly links Putin and Russian intelligence to Epstein's activities, the scale of references in the released files has intensified scrutiny of these international connections.
The emergence of Epstein's secret son adds another layer of complexity to an already convoluted case that continues to reveal disturbing connections between wealth, power, and criminality on an international scale.
