Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw has confirmed that a major stunt is on the horizon, set to air this summer. Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Shaw teased that the upcoming scenes will involve a 'big, massive bombshell' that will 'change lives forever' in the village.
While details remain under wraps, Shaw revealed that filming for the stunt is due to commence within a couple of weeks. This marks a departure from the show's usual autumn schedule for big stunts, suggesting a summer spectacle that could have lasting consequences.
Alongside the stunt, Shaw hinted at a revenge plot involving Ruby and Caleb Miligan targeting Joe Tate. Caleb, who still harbours resentment over Joe stealing his kidney, will see an opportunity for payback this summer, with Ruby joining forces to exact 'ultimate revenge'.
It remains unclear whether the revenge storyline ties directly into the stunt or runs parallel. Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
