It has been nearly 17 years since Diversity first captivated the nation with their high-energy routines and acrobatic dance moves. After triumphing over Susan Boyle in the final of Britain's Got Talent in 2009, the group has continued to evolve. With a fire-juggler, dance group, and magician among the finalists on May 30, judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI face another challenging decision. Meanwhile, Diversity, led by choreographer Ashley Banjo, has gone from strength to strength, now touring across the UK and operating a dedicated training facility in Essex, offering both in-person classes and online memberships. Despite the group's enduring success, there have been significant changes along the way. So, where are the Diversity members now?
Ashley Banjo
The frontman remains the creative force and face of Diversity. At 37, he has built a substantial solo TV career, appearing as a judge on Dancing on Ice and Britain's Got Talent, and creating The Real Full Monty specials. In 2023, he made his West End debut as the Tin Woodman in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium. Earlier, he was at the center of controversy when a Black Lives Matter-inspired dance routine on BGT generated over 30,000 complaints to Ofcom. Away from dance, he is a father of two, Rose and Micah, with his ex-wife Francesca. The couple separated in 2022. He is currently touring the UK with the Diversity SOUL tour.
Jordan Banjo
Ashley's younger brother Jordan, now 33, was also an original member. Beyond Diversity, he appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, The Masked Dancer, and co-hosted the KISS Breakfast Show with Perri Kiely until January 30, 2026. He also fought in a Misfits boxing match on March 7, 2026. A devoted family man, Jordan married influencer and business owner Naomi in 2022 and has three children. He continues to tour with the group.
Perri Kiely
One of the youngest members, Perri remains a core performer and choreographer, regularly touring with Diversity. He appeared on E4's Celebs Go Dating, where he struggled with confidence but formed a bromance with Joey Essex. He has worked on TV projects like Dancing on Ice and Jordan and Perri's Ultimate Block Party, and co-hosted KISS Breakfast from 2019 to 2026. Now 30, he shares glimpses of his busy schedule on Instagram and his relationship with actress and dancer Jess Pickles, whom he has been dating since early 2023.
Sam Craske
Another original member, Sam continues to perform live tours and teaches classes at Diversity Dance Studios. He also appeared on Celebs Go Dating and dated Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix for two years until 2013. He shares two children with partner Megan: son Caleb, born in May 2023, and son Blake, born on October 27, 2025.
Mitchell Craske
Mitchell, now 30, was the youngest member at age 12 when Diversity won BGT. He remains loyal to the group, touring nationwide, teaching classes, and working as a social media content creator. He refers to himself as "small, dark and handsome" on Instagram.
Robert Anker
After winning BGT, Robert appeared in videos for Paloma Faith and Jessie J, and in the West End show Thriller Live. Tragedy struck in 2017 when he died in a car crash in Canada. He had moved there in 2016 to marry his girlfriend Cyndi. His car collided with a pick-up truck, and he passed away at the scene. A JustGiving page raised funds for family to attend his funeral.
The McNaughton Brothers
Ian and Jamie McNaughton were founding members but stepped away after 2009 to pursue other endeavors. They keep a low profile with no public records of involvement in professional dance or entertainment.
Today, the BAFTA-winning group tours the UK with their concept show 'SOUL'. While key members remain, Diversity now consists of 14-15 core performers, including many new recruits.
