David Caruso Spotted 13 Years After Quitting Hollywood

David Caruso, the former star of NYPD Blue and CSI: Miami, has been seen in public for the first time in years, 13 years after leaving the entertainment industry. The 60-year-old actor retired from show business in 2012 and has largely stayed out of the spotlight since then.

Caruso's departure from Hollywood was preceded by a reputation for difficult behaviour on set. NYPD Blue creator Steven Bochco described him as 'cancerous' and 'impossible' in his memoir, recounting how Caruso demanded $100,000 per episode, Fridays off, a 38-foot trailer, and other perks before being written out of the show.

After leaving NYPD Blue, Caruso's film career fizzled out by 2002, but he found renewed success on television with CSI: Miami, which ran from 2002 to 2012. He has not acted since the series ended.

Caruso was spotted in Los Angeles, looking casual in a black t-shirt and sunglasses. He appeared to be in good health, though he has aged significantly since his last public appearance. Fans and former colleagues have expressed mixed feelings about his return to the public eye.
