Former Love Island star Dani Dyer has announced she will return to Strictly Come Dancing this autumn, after an injury forced her to withdraw from last year's competition before the series began. The 29-year-old said she is 'over the moon' to rejoin the hit BBC programme.
Dani, who won Love Island in 2018 and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins this year, also co-stars alongside her father, Rivals actor Danny Dyer, in their series The Dyers' Caravan Park. She joins EastEnders star Lacey Turner as the first two contestants announced for the 2026 line-up.
'I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September,' Dani said. 'I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on, and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one. I'm just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it.'
The news was confirmed on Thursday via the official Strictly Come Dancing social media accounts. The upcoming series will also feature new hosts Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe, replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who left the show late last year.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer this September.
