Cruz Beckham has publicly reached out to his older brother Brooklyn in a gesture that appears to be an attempt to mend the family rift. The 20-year-old shared a nostalgic Instagram post from 2021 on his stories, featuring himself, father David, brother Romeo and Brooklyn together. The original caption read: '❤️love you guys,' tagging the three family members.
The post predates the family feud that reportedly began around Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz's wedding in April 2022. At the time, reports suggested Nicola refused to wear a design by Victoria Beckham, though the couple later said the dress could not be completed in time.
Since the wedding, Brooklyn and Nicola have grown apart from the rest of the Beckhams. Brooklyn was notably absent from David's 50th birthday party and a subsequent fishing trip with his brothers and father. He also remained silent on Father's Day and failed to acknowledge David's knighthood on social media, though he later posted a sweet message for his father-in-law Nelson Peltz.
Cruz has previously made indirect jibes at Brooklyn, including responding to a troll who questioned his career choices by saying 'Wrong brother mate,' a nod to Brooklyn's multiple career changes. He also shared cryptic posts, including a line from a Victoria Beckham song that included the lyrics 'people gonna come and go.'
The rift has deepened in recent months. Brooklyn covered up a 'mama's boy' tattoo dedicated to Victoria, and in August, he and Nicola renewed their vows with her family present, but no Beckham attended. A source described it as 'the final kick in the teeth' for David and Victoria.
