Coronation Street fans believe they have identified the mysterious new evidence detective Kit Green has against Megan Walsh. The child groomer is set to face a downfall, but viewers were left puzzled when Kit hinted at undisclosed evidence during a recent episode.
Eva Price and Toyah Battersby have been trying to expose Megan for grooming and sexually abusing Eva's teenage stepson, Will Driscoll. After Toyah's arrest for assaulting Megan was dropped, Kit told the sisters and Leanne Battersby that new evidence had come to light, making their crusade unnecessary.
Fans now think the evidence involves another teenager, Lee, who previously warned Will about his own relationship with Megan. Viewers speculate that Lee has come forward to police, potentially leading to more victims. One fan said, 'Maybe something to do with that other lad... perhaps the police have been asking questions at her old place of work.'
Will is set to report Megan to the police next week after a conversation with Tim Metcalfe helps him realise he was groomed. Fans believe Lee's return could be key to sealing Megan's fate, with another viewer commenting, 'New evidence being the other kid coming forward I think.'
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
