Coronation Street viewers are convinced that Gary Windass did not kill Theo Silverton, despite a flashback scene showing him holding a potential weapon. The Wednesday night episode revealed Gary on scaffolding outside Theo's flat, looking down at the lifeless body. However, fans argue his expression suggested shock, not guilt.
Many believe Gary arrived to confront Theo but found him already dead, or witnessed the murder and took the weapon. Theories point to Jodie Ramsey, Sarah Platt, or Sam Blakeman as the real killer, with Gary possibly covering for them or Todd Grimshaw.
One fan posted: 'I still don't think it was Gary. I think he went to look for Theo to give him a good beating but found him already dead.' Another suggested: 'I think Gary & Sarah came across Theo dead in the flat, thought Todd had killed him, and started covering up for him.'
Other theories include Sam Blakeman acting out of psychosis, mistaking Theo for his bully Will, or Sarah Platt as the murderer. One viewer speculated: 'It's Theo’s son and his mom Danielle is covering for him.'
Coronation Street continues weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
