Corrections: Sam Neill Obituary Error, August Wittgenstein Misidentified
Corrections: Sam Neill Obituary Error, Wittgenstein Misidentified

The Guardian has issued corrections for errors in a recent obituary of actor Sam Neill and a photo caption in the Sky Atlantic series Faithless. In the obituary published on 14 July (Journal, p10), Neill's mother's birth surname was incorrectly given as Ingram; it should have been Ingham. Additionally, the film Rams, in which Neill played a sweetly avuncular farmer, was released in 2020, not 2000 as stated in a tribute article on page 9.

Faithless Image Misidentification

An image from the Sky Atlantic series Faithless (What to watch, 14 July, G2, p10) incorrectly identified August Wittgenstein as Markus. The actor in the image was actually Gustav Lindh, who plays David.

Other Recent Corrections

Other recently amended articles include: a Lancashire chemicals factory facing a potential legal claim announces closure; a pilot scheme in England to convert empty classrooms into community hubs; Sam Neill's 20 best roles; an obituary of Antonio Rattín; and a piece titled "Imagine a world without Wagner … it's not easy, but let's try."
