Coronation Street could be in for some drama in the coming weeks, as it looks like two more exits are on the way on the ITV soap following Theo Silverton's shock death.
A murder mystery has begun on Coronation Street, with the ITV soap airing a shocking set of scenes tonight that saw Theo Silverton killed off in a dramatic turn of events. The soap has been leading up to this week with dramatic twists and turns, and there is more on the way.
Tonight, fans saw Theo killed off in huge scenes, but the fate of more than one other character is still up in the air. In tonight's episode, Maggie Driscoll looked rather worse for wear, whilst Carl Webster also appeared to be in grave trouble.
In dramatic scenes, Theo died, but who killed him and how is yet to be revealed. With things not looking good for Carl and Maggie too, could their exits be on the way?
Are More Deaths Sealed on Coronation Street?
It comes after show boss Kate Brooks warned there was a lot of trouble ahead, as she cautioned that "so many different consequences" were coming. But will anyone else die?
Kate Brooks explained: "As complicated as the stories are, as a viewer, it's very easy to follow because you're following an individual story. It's easy to keep track of what's going on. We deliberately intended to make each episode feel like a mini movie, the hook being 'we still don't know who it is that's been killed.'"
She added: "It was a very complicated storylining process! I did lose a bit of sleep and my hair went a little bit greyer! Usually, in a whodunnit week, you've got one victim and the suspects. We had five potential suspects and had to make sure all the stories aligned, made sense and got to the right place, and came together."
She explained: "Even in the build-up, it's gearing up and the momentum is really strong. It could be any of them. It was about making sure the stars aligned to get this juicy week."
The flipside to that, going forward, there are so many different consequences for each individual character. Then we've also got the whodidit? We've got that big story going forward, as well as unpacking what's going on with all those other characters. It's very complex but dead satisfying and enjoyable as well.
With it not looking good for other potential victims, Jodie and Megan, could there be even more twists in store?
